Fundraiser in Honor of Melody Zambriski, Wife of Coach Z
This weekend, NY Empire FC will be holding a special fundraiser in honor of Melody Zambriski, the wife of Connetquot varsity soccer coach John Zambriski, known to many as Coach Z. Melody sadly passed away last week after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
This effort was brought forward by our general manager, Makayla Morganelli, who attends school with David Sanchez — an NY Empire FC player who also plays for Connetquot varsity and is close with Coach Z and his family. After learning how deeply this loss has impacted David and the Connetquot community, we wanted to find a way to show our support.
