NY Empire FC has bolstered its roster with the addition of five new players, each bringing valuable experience and fresh energy to the squad: goalkeeper Kenneth Córdova, defender Justin Pierre, forward Moses Bakabulindi, defender Zane Brown, and midfielder Marcelo Chacón. Headshots of all five will be featured in the club’s official announcement.
Kenneth Córdova joins Empire with professional credentials from Peru’s top competitions. The New York-born keeper, now 25, made his mark with Atlético Grau in Liga 2 and the Copa Bicentenario before securing a Liga 2 championship with Comerciantes Unidos. His composure and leadership between the posts promise to be a major asset for the club. He recently played with The American Soccer Club in the NPSL.

Justin Pierre arrives with a well-rounded defensive background, having competed at Adelphi University, Manhattan College, and with Braveheart SC in the UPSL. His collegiate and club experience has honed his positional discipline and tactical awareness, adding depth and reliability to Empire’s backline.

Moses Bakabulindi, a forward from Stony Brook University, brings pace, energy, and a nose for goal. He has already made an immediate impact—scoring in Empire’s quarterfinal and semifinal victories n the UPSL Regional American Cup.

Zane Brown comes from Central Connecticut State University, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level. His strong defensive fundamentals and game-reading ability will strengthen the team’s defensive structure.

Marcelo Chacón, an Adelphi University alumnus, adds technical skill and versatility to the midfield. Known for his vision and ability to link play, Chacón will help drive the team’s attacking build-up.

Head Coach Max Ferro expressed his excitement about the new arrivals:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kenneth, Justin, Moses, Zane, and Marcelo to the Empire family. Each brings a unique set of strengths and experiences that will elevate our squad. Kenneth’s professional background in Peru gives us invaluable composure in goal. Justin and Zane’s collegiate defensive grounding will fortify our backline, while Marcelo’s vision and Moses’s pace and energy will fuel our attack. They represent our club’s commitment to blending local talent with high-level experience—playing for pride, for community, for Long Island.”
