NY Empire FC delivered a dominant 6-0 victory over Future Sports Academy in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. The match saw an early spark from forward Lenny Lopez, who opened the scoring just nine minutes into the game. He quickly doubled his tally, converting a penalty kick in the 15th minute to put NY Empire FC up 2-0.
The pressure didn’t stop there. Midfielder Dylan Meadows added a goal before halftime, followed by a strike from playmaker Nico Reinoso, sending the team into the break with a commanding 4-0 lead.
The second half began just as explosively, with Dylan Meadows netting his second goal, this time chipping the goalkeeper for a brilliant finish. Substitute Davidson Marsielle added a late goal to round out the emphatic 6-0 victory.
Defender Trevor Henderson anchored the defense with a solid 90-minute performance, while Mateo Giraldo was a standout in the holding midfield role, also playing the full 90 minutes. Goalkeeper Justin Silva made three crucial saves to keep a clean sheet.
Coach Max Ferro expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially after a bye week. "We came out with a lot of energy and applied pressure right from the start. I’m happy with how the team attacked today and kept up the intensity throughout," Ferro said post-match.
NY Empire FC’s next match is a home game at Danzi Stadium on Saturday, 9/28, against Brooklyn FC at 7 PM, where they will look to build on their strong momentum.
