NY Empire FC continued their strong run of form with a commanding 5-3 win over Brooklyn FC on Saturday, showcasing a first-half masterclass that left their opponents reeling.

NY Empire exploded out of the gates, netting five unanswered goals in the first 45 minutes to take a commanding 5-0 lead into halftime. Forward Mason Chetti led the charge with a clinical brace, bringing his tally to three goals in just two starts. Tim de Meij, Emgi Gousse, and Nico Reinoso also added their names to the scoresheet in a dominant opening period.

Gousse, who has been a consistent attacking threat all season, now has four goals to his name. Reinoso and de Meij each added crucial contributions as Empire’s high-octane offense overwhelmed Brooklyn’s backline.

The second half saw Brooklyn FC claw back three goals, but the damage had already been done. NY Empire FC comfortably saw out the match, securing all three points and solidifying their spot in the top tier of the table.

With the win, NY Empire FC sits second in the standings, just two points behind the league leaders with three games remaining in the regular season. The team will enjoy a break this weekend before returning to action at home on Saturday, May 31, for a pivotal clash against East Coast FC.
With the title race heating up, every match counts — and Empire FC are proving they’re ready for the challenge.
