NY Empire FC wrapped up their UPSL Regional American Cup group stage campaign in dominant fashion with a convincing 5-0 win over Leone Stars of New York, sealing a perfect 3-0-0 record and outscoring opponents 16-1 across three matches.
The Empire attack was on full display Sunday night, with Mason Chetti and Olsen Aluc each netting a brace. Aluc, a standout striker at Stony Brook University, now has four goals in just his first two appearances for NY Empire, immediately establishing himself as a force up top.

Adding to the fireworks was 17-year-old high school standout David Sanchez, who netted his first UPSL goal late in the second half. Sanchez, entering his senior year at Connetquot High School and currently competing with Long Island Slammers, continues to impress against older competition.

“David is a special talent,” said Head Coach Max Ferro. “For a high school player to be performing at this level with confidence and composure is rare. He’s got the mentality, and this is just the beginning for him.”
Coach Ferro also praised the team’s overall performance in the group stage. “We’ve set the tone with our intensity, our movement, and our discipline. The guys came together quickly and bought into the vision. This group is hungry.”
With a flawless group stage behind them, NY Empire now shifts focus to the quarterfinal round, with the opponent, time, and location to be announced soon.

Stay tuned as this electric squad continues their push for the UPSL Regional American Cup title.
