NY Empire FC closed out their Fall 2024 home schedule in spectacular fashion with a 10-1 dismantling of Real NY FC at the SUSA Complex, before a record-breaking crowd of over 500 fans from across Long Island. The win not only secured an emphatic victory but also clinched a playoff berth with one game left in the regular season.

The match started off with a moment of brilliance from Nico Reinoso, who fired in a stunning 25-yard beauty, leaving the Real NY goalkeeper helpless and putting NY Empire FC up 1-0 early. The crowd erupted as Reinoso's strike set the tone for what would be a dominant performance.

Dylan Meadows doubled the lead shortly after, finishing a well-worked team move to make it 2-0, as NY Empire continued to pile on the pressure. Real NY FC struggled to find any rhythm, and their defense was repeatedly exposed. Wilber Gomez scored to make the score to 3-0. Lenny Lopez put on a first-half masterclass, netting a hat trick in quick succession to completely deflate Real NY FC. His lethal finishing, capped by a header and two clinical strikes, sent NY Empire into the halftime break with a commanding 6-0 lead.

The second half saw NY Empire FC’s substitutes take center stage, adding four more goals to round out the scoring. Emre Can extended the lead with a superb long-range shot from outside the 18-yard box, making it 7-0. Travis Forsythe then joined the scoring party, finding the back of the net to push the lead further.

Carlos Martinez delivered the final blows with a brace. His first goal was a powerful header, while his second was a spectacular rabona, a flashy finish that had the crowd roaring with approval.

Despite Real NY FC managing a consolation goal in the final minutes, the 10-1 scoreline highlighted the gulf between the two teams. It was a night to remember for the home fans, who set a record attendance at SUSA Complex, energizing the team throughout the game.

NY Empire FC’s dominant victory secured them a spot in the upcoming playoffs with one regular-season game left to play. With momentum firmly on their side and an electric crowd behind them, they head into the postseason as a team to watch.
