Fundraiser in Honor of Melody Zambriski, Wife of "Coach Z"

This weekend, NY Empire FC will be holding a special fundraiser in honor of Melody Zambriski, the wife of Connetquot varsity soccer coach John Zambriski, known to many as Coach Z. Melody sadly passed away last week after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

This effort was brought forward by our general manager, Makayla Morgenelli, who attends school with David Sanchez — an NY Empire FC player who also plays for Connetquot varsity soccer and is close with Coach Z and his family. After learning how deeply this loss has impacted David and the Connetquot community, we wanted to team up with the Connetquot community to find a way to show our support.

Here’s how it works:

Tickets are $10, for every ticket sold to this weekend’s NY Empire FC game through this dedicated fundraiser page, 100% of the proceeds will be donated directly to the Zambriski family. NY Empire FC will also match all funds raised, up to $500.

This is a small but heartfelt gesture to stand with Coach Z, honor Melody’s memory, and bring the soccer community together in a meaningful way.
